Also, it is a good idea to change out the water that comes out of the feeder once every two weeks or so. This ensures that the water stays clean and does not build up. The last step is probably the most important part of this entire process. This is probably the part that you are going to dread, but it is really very simple. If you are going to use a press feeder, you must remember to walk your dog regularly. Make sure you do not just give him a walk once every couple of months, but at least once every day. This will keep your dog stimulated and possibly prevent boredom from setting in. This is especially important if you have a large dog that loves to lie down and relax in the sun all day long. Just make sure that you keep your dog in the feeder for a few hours each day, and make sure that he is in the feeder for an hour each time after that.
